In,"Having Fun Before Bedtime," the nation is said to have been very powerful as they led a military campaign taking over smaller nations on their eastern continent. Equestria created an alliance with many of these smaller eastern nations and was able to eventually overpower Griffonstone reducing their power and stopping their military campaign.
